On Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, Pilot Technical Institute proudly joined the global celebration of World Youth Skills Day, an event dedicated to empowering young people through skill development, with a special focus this year on advancements in information technology.

The event began with a powerful opening address from the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, who emphasised the crucial role of youth in driving technological innovation and national development. His keynote speech set the tone for a day filled with insight, creativity, and collaboration. Other dignitaries and government officials also shared valuable perspectives on the significance of IT in shaping the future of our society.

The cultural display was a vibrant celebration of Ghana’s rich heritage, featuring a dynamic mix of traditional and contemporary performances. Students brought the stage to life with music, dance, and drama, reflecting the diversity and talent that define today’s youth.

One of the most exciting parts of the day was the talent showcase, where students demonstrated their prowess in various IT-related fields. From live coding challenges to impressive digital art exhibits, the creativity and technical skill on display were truly inspiring. Each participant brought something unique to the table, highlighting the depth of talent within our institution and beyond.

World Youth Skills Day 2025 was more than just an event—it was a powerful reminder of what young minds can achieve when given the tools and opportunities to grow. It fostered a spirit of innovation, collaboration, and hope, leaving all attendees motivated for what lies ahead.

We are honoured to have been part of this meaningful celebration and look forward to continuing our commitment to youth development and technological excellence in future events.
